  • A GREASY SPOON IN THE GAY VILLAGE

    Posted by

It’s 3 o’clock in the morning. You just shut down the bar. But your night is not over. Your stomach is growling. You need a greasy spoon restaurant to intervene on the impending hangover.

I’ll tell you where to go…

Resto du Village is what you need. Open 24/7, this village gem is every gay’s first choice for late-night munchies. Not unlike myself, it is unpretentious, reliable and cheap.

My friends Laura and Brian were there a few days ago, and they recorded some video action. Listen for their thoughtful sentiments – “We’ll give this to Daniel!” And yeah, in case you were wondering, it’s totally legit to have wine with your bacon and eggs…

For the true Montréal experience, order the poutine.
Bring your own wine (if you want to make your eggs look classier).
    Open 24 hours a day.

    Resto du Village
1310, rue Wolfe corner Ste-Catherine (Gay Village)
    Phone: 514-524-5404

I’d link you to their website, but an important credential of any greasy spoon is to NOT have a website.

It's also so profound how you can be entrenched in cosmopolitan life and minutes later be surrounded by nature...and those clouds; there's no clouds like the ones over Montreal--surreal and oh so beautiful. The Montréal Buzz posted a photo:	The beauty of Montreal is found in the diversity of the people, the historic landmarks, the arts and culture that bring together residents and returning tourists, and surely, the ever-glowing lights.
