  • AMHERST ANTIQUES :: MODERN DREAMING

    Posted by

If you’re anything like me, words such as ‘teak’ or ‘modern’ or ‘Mid-Century Scandinavian Design’ can evoke an aesthetic erection.

Montréal’s Amherst Street is home to half-a-dozen boutiques that specialize in recycling the best furniture and accessories of the past century.

Join me on a video/photo tour as I present some of the dreamy items that you could be nabbing…

    Don’t miss these shops:

    Boutiques A @ Z – 1840 Amherst St.

Cité Déco – 1761 Amherst St.

Antiquités Curiosté – 1769 Amherst St.

    Montréal M@derne – 1861 Amherst St.

    Jack’s – 1860 Amherst St.

    Sputnik – 2120 Amherst St.

That morning we packed our bags and sought out crepes for breakfast before heading to the station. I cried while packing because I didn't want to leave - the four days we had spent in the city had been perfect. We decided to take one last stroll while waiting for our train. We walked out to the street only to discover it was closed off for the Pride Parade! I took a few minutes to snap some shots of everyone waiting for the parade to begin.
