One of the best things about Montreal’s Gay Village is that the street is closed to traffic throughout the summer. This essentially means that St. Catherine’s street is like a pedestrian runway, featuring amazing patio action, jovial street performers and even a volleyball court.
However, I became concerned.
With no car access, how will Google record this portion of Montreal for their Street View feature? Being the problem solvin’ fella that I am, I hit the streets with my BIXI bike to capture the Gay Village.
Watch the fun…
Montréal is about style. A certain romanticism that doesn’t exist anywhere else. A crossroads between European and American influences. It’s so easy to be who you want here, whether you’re straight, gay or anywhere in between. We have a general climate of acceptance. I have a fabulous job, bringing you the best of what Montréal has to offer (gay and beyond). Use me! And don’t be shy – if you see me around town, come up and introduce yourself!
