Montréal is fairly well known throughout the homoverse as being a pretty gay place. But not everything in the city is so cut and dry. Some things are clearly gay, like the gay village, but other things exist in sexual ambiguity.

Here are 10 Montréal things that gravitate towards the gay end of the pool.

There is no shortage of great food options in Montréal. You could easily spend a full weekend eating your way through the Gay Village. No pun intended.

My friend Ahmar and I headed to Pica Pica the other night for girl talk and tapas. We tucked ourselves into one of the booths, and enjoyed some friendly service and saliva-inducing dishes.

Haunted Hillbilly is “a Frankensteinian patchwork of anti-Western, gay and Gothic noir themes—the twin dream of Gram Parsons and Hank Williams as they both lay dying” (Montréal Mirror).

Basically it is a dark, campy comedy. And that means that the gays are gonna love it!
