Gay Montreal clubs are known throughout the gaylaxy for their hot and sweaty dance floors. When it comes to deciding where to shake your groove thang, there are a few variables to consider, such as clientele, cover charges and type of music. But no matter what your tastes in music, you are guaranteed to find something that tickles your fancy.

These are five Montréal gay clubs where you can dance until late in the night.

In no particular order…

PARKING – With 95,000 watts of sound, this is the place for big name DJs and special events (tattooed stallion Logan McCree recently put on a show). Expect bare-chested, sweaty men. Cover ranges from $10-20 depending on day/event. Primarily male.

UNITY – Offering a line up of local and international DJs, Unity is a reliable favorite. There are three rooms catering to various musical palettes, including the famous bamboo room, where you’ll be sure to hear a Mariah Carey remix. Decent rooftop patio during the summer. Mixed, younger crowd. Cover ranges $8-15.

Le DRUGSTORE – Whether you want to get your groove on, shoot pool, have your hair cut, or grab a cold beer with friends, Le Drugstore is the place to go. Clientele is primarily female. Be sure to stop at the built-in taco shop... seriously. No cover.

SKY – If options are what you want, then Sky might be your best bet. With five rooms, including a cabaret on the first floor and Hip Hop room on level two, there is a good chance that you will find something to your liking. Plus, it gets my vote for best rooftop patio in the village. Bring your trunks if you want a dip in the hot tub. Mixed crowd. $4 cover.

BAR Le STUD – As quoted from their website, “A man's bar...where men like men.” Stud is a no-frills, male-only, testosterone-heavy Montréal institution. Billiard tables and video poker help jump-start conversation. Intimate dance floor with disco, house, rock, new wave, dance and Top 40 music. No cover.

I’ll see you on the dance floor!

Oh, and I also found this video kickin' around YouTube... it highlights some of the good places in the village, dancing and more!
