May 31, 2010 – If you feel like expanding your partying possibilities beyond the already visit-worthy Village, then you’ll want to check out MEC PLUS ULTRA (MPU) over at the Belmont. The event’s organizers felt it was time to offer Montréal’s gay community another night-out alternative, so they cooked up a brand-new mixer whose popularity shows no signs of abating.
That’s right; twice a month, all of Montréal’s cutie pies and hunks are invited to a get-together of sizeable proportions—from 500 to 600 people—at Le Belmont on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, known locally as “the Main.” The goal of this get-together all is to make it easier to mingle and meet new people while treating your ears to a great menu of music.
In addition to taking place on the trendy Plateau, one of Montréal’s hippest neighbourhoods, the MPU features live bands and DJs, dancing, and, of course, an ambiance that’s conducive to chatting up new faces. The organizers have other surprises lined up too, so make sure to get your party pants pressed and pencil the next one in your date book.
