March 1, 2010 - From March 16 to April 13, the Galerie Dentaire, a chic dentist’s office that doubles as an art gallery, will be holding a second edition of its tremendously successful first exhibition/auction, L’Espoir-Hope.
The month-long exhibition will culminate in an auction on April 14 at the beautiful St. James United Church in the heart of Montréal’s bustling downtown. Money raised from the auction will go to AIDS Community Care Montréal (ACCM), an organization that offers help to people living with HIV/AIDS.
The Galerie Dentaire plans to make this year’s edition of its exhibition even bigger and better than its predecessor. Of course, the inaugural 2009 edition was already big, featuring over 60 artists from here and abroad (the likes of whom included Tom Bianchi, Gustavo Hannecke and Scarlett Raven), and garnering the support of celebrities that included Hollywood star Sharon Stone. Most importantly, however, this community-conscious event raised some $20,000 for the ACCM.
This second edition promises to feature more local and Québec artists who, as we know, are as numerous as they are talented. So, bring your eye for art, open your heart and your wallet, and take advantage of this chance to scoop up some great art for an even greater cause.
