May 31, 2010 – So much more than just a “patio” or a “deck”, the Montréal terrasse is the urban hang-out of choice for Montrealers from the advent of warm spring sunshine to the first frosty snowfall; of course the beverages change with the seasons, but the atmosphere stays the same. It’s the ultimate place to see and be seen, to catch up on the whos-whats-where, to take a load off, to grab a bite or drink on the run (and inevitably end up staying for a while), to sample delectable eats in a delicious ambiance, or simply to drink in the culture. You just need to know where to go.

Enjoy Ristorante Bice’s seasonal and artisanal menus al fresco in their spectacular covered garden terrace.

For a little Parisian flair and fare, Restaurant Julien’s private garden-terrace features a fountain accented by flowers, trees and Victorian-style decoration.

Be one of the first to check Le Commensal’s brand-new back terrace in the Quartier latin, or head over to Le Parchemin for a spectacular wine list in a tucked-away urban oasis.

Treat your taste buds to a splash of summer flavour from the kitchen of Le Club Chasse et Pêche restaurant as you soak up some sun in the Governor’s Garden at Château Ramezay next door. The double-decker urban garden of Boris Bistro features a courtyard of mature trees and parasols accented by an interesting stone building façade. Word on the street – or the terrace, in this case – is that the duck confit is to die for.

See you on the terrasse!
