Montréalers will be the first to admit that they have somewhat of a weakness for terrasse-sitting, and now Le Club Chasse et Pêche spoils us with another chic spot to eat and sip.

Le Club owners Claude Pelletier and Hubert Marsolais treat guests to even more culinary finesse on the terrasse of the gorgeous Château Ramezay, just across the street from their restaurant. And this being Old Montréal, your good eats naturally come served with prestige and history. In fact, in 1705, the governor of New France, Claude de Ramezay, had his residence built here with a back yard that held an orchard, a kitchen garden and a pleasure garden.

From your table, you can look out on a smaller-scale version of the governor’s posh patch, as you indulge in succulent seasonal fare that includes chilled lobster soup, scallop ceviche and salmon gravlax, with a wine list that shines the spotlight on crisp whites and excellent by-the-glass selections.

So sit back, relax and enjoy a mouth-watering meal and a fine vintage while the fragrant scents of strawberries, rosemary, peonies, savoury and day lilies waft about you. Without a doubt, Le Club Chasse et Pêche has upped the Montréal terrasse experience.

We had the pleasure of dining at your restarurant on the evening of March 19th and have been talking about our experience ever since we returned to Winnipeg. Thank you for one of the best gourmet dining experiences we have had in Canada!! The skill of our server Phillippe Anstett made the evening extra special. Phillippe is truly an asset to your establishment. Thank you Phillippe! We have recommended Le Club Chasse et Peche to several friends and will definitely visit you when we return to Montreal. Keep up the great work - fine dining at its best!! Thank you once again!
