If you’ve got a Grinch in your midst this holiday season, there’s nothing like a performance of the Nutcracker by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal to get hearts brimming with holiday spirit.
Choreographed by Fernand Nault to Tchaikovsky’s stunning score, this awe-inspiring Christmas tale is awash with colourful costumes, sumptuous sets and a roster of characters—like tin soldiers and giant mice and the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy—who come alive in a magical dreamscape of snow and sweets.
As an extra bonus, Les Grands ballets features “Mouse of the Day” where a child is picked at random during the pre-show reading to perform in the first act. A fairy-tale experience indeed!
