We love Montréal and we love Wi-Fi.

So put the two together, and you get a connected city that lets you connect. In fact, in Montréal, there are tons of places that offer Wi-Fi for free. Here’s three picks on where to park it, surf the Web, send pics or videos, text your friends, or—if you really have to—work.

Laïka is a laid-back spot on Saint-Laurent Boulevard that attracts a healthy crowd of hipsters and offers good eats. Any time of the day is good for hanging here; however if you want to catch the DJ sets, swing by later in the evening. Not far away, the arty Café Pi is the favoured pick of chess players, unis (university students) and fair-trade-conscious coffee drinkers.

And over at Camellia Sinensis in the Quartier Latin, it’s tea time all the time at this charming tea house, which offers over 180 varieties to choose from and a great ambiance.
