Main Madness has long been known as Montréal’s sidewalk sale of all sidewalk sales, however, it has split; no, not gone away, but divided into to new summer events, just as cool, just as exciting and just as popular.
June brings Club Main, a massive urban beach party/street fair/open-air market that overtakes Saint-Laurent Boulevard from Sherbrooke Street right up to Mont Royal Avenue from June 17 to 20. So smack a volleyball, sip a drink with a fancy umbrella, or stroll about to check out the wares of over 300 merchants. Of course, there is great people-watching potential as well – this is the Main, after all!
Couldn’t make it in June, or simply couldn’t get enough the first time around? No worries – Mix’Arts brings it all back from August 26 to 29, but with the added fun of an arts festival. Join the die-hard discount shoppers as they troll the boulevard for treasure, grab a bite from one of the many food kiosks or just get down to the Main’s unique vibe thanks to this open-air spectacle of “mixed art”. Music, dance, circus arts – it’s all original and it’s all here on the Main!
