November 30, 2009 – Come winter, Montréal may not be slathered in sunscreen, but it sure has a whole lotta spunk.

What other city cannily defies sub-zero temperatures and turns them into a party, indoors and out? From February 18 to 28, 2010, the eleventh anniversary of the MONTRÉAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival will show all the winter naysayers how it’s done.

Featuring gourmet dining - the spectacular food and grand chefs of Portugal, New Orleans (Louisiana) and our very own Eastern Townships - , a rich cultural program and all the awe and iridescence we’ve come to expect from the lighting program, from one neighbourhood to the next.

Plus, if your idea of a good time is prowling the city under the cloak of darkness, you’ll be in good company the night of Saturday, February 27 (‘til dawn on Sunday, February 28), when the city brings on the night with the Montréal All-Nighter, which features a festive line-up of activities and free shuttle service to get to them.

Start picking out your favourite party tuque and mittens!

Montreal Highlights Festival Posted by realtman  | January 9, 2010
This article will certainly perk the interest of tourists but will also turn the interest to frustration because of the lack of information. I suggest you visit some of the many New York City sights to see how tourist info sites should work.

Not a lot of info to sink your teeth into here. It would be nice if the link to the festival worked. I'm from out of town. Do I just show up in Montreal and take it from there?
