From September 30 to October 4, 2009, POP Montréal brings its menu of independent music to venues around town. More than 200 artists along with fans aplenty will be taking part in this five-day party, which plays out in a number of the city’s theatres, bars and clubs.
While music is the headliner, there are also conferences, photo exhibitions, a zine/craft/fashion fair and film screenings, and, of course, the super ambiance. As always, the all-night loft parties guarantee the fun will stretch late and long. This year, the organizers are also offering bike rentals: toolin’ around on two wheels is the best way to make the most of this fest – and it’s ecological!
Since its launch in 2002, POP Montréal has continued to attract artists from here and abroad through its commitment to “providing opportunities for independent musicians, promoters, fans, and creative minds of all types”. Props to the POP!
