This summer, comedians from around the world will be coming to Montréal to take part in the planet’s biggest-ever comedy get-together. The 26th edition of the Just for Laughs Festival will be taking over the streets of the Quartier latin, which will be closed to traffic for the occasion. And it doesn’t matter whether you’re young or old—there’s something to tickle every funny bone, with close to 1,700 shows, including 1,200 street shows and free activities.
Each year, the Just for Laughs Gala showcases the best international acts, performed by some of comedy’s greatest names, over the course of this prestigious evening. Visitors can also get tickets to the Club Series, whose program of theme events has something for everyone, or Flying Solo, which hands the stage over to individual performers for their own full-length shows. There’s also the One-Person Show Series, virtuoso solo performances in a stand-up setting.
