July 7, 2014 — Don’t miss this must-attend, mid-August week of experiencing what makes this city great: democracy, inclusion and defending human rights, all with a unique sense of celebration. From August 11 to 17, Montréal Pride promises another spectacular edition of colour-popping, creative and crowd-pleasing celebrations where absolutely everyone is welcome!
This much-anticipated week will be chock full of activities – from brunches to drag shows and conferences to a heart-pumping zumba workout, not to mention the DJs and dance-til-you-drop parties.
At the popular Community Day on August 16, get involved, educated and entertained. Browse kiosks lined up along St. Catherine Street where organizations, businesses, sport teams and more display their involvement in the community.
The seven days of celebrations culminate, of course, with the ultimate crowd-puller: the Parade! Enjoy all the fun, flamboyance and fabulous floats as participants take their unstoppable energy and enthusiasm to the streets. This year’s theme is “Our Flag, Our Fire: ORANGE”, so expect to see the streets awash in everything from carrot to marigold to tangerine. The upbeat procession ends at Place Émilie-Gamelin, where the celebrations will wrap up with an outdoor mega T-Dance, a hands-down Pride favourite.
Be here this summer for Pride’s seriously good juju and Montréal-style jubilation!
