March 1, 2010 - Check out one of Montréal’s hottest new sounds on the music scene: Mad June. A self-proclaimed independent “do-it-yourself” alternative band with access to technology, these four ladies rock…and they rock hard!
Four years ago, the quartet - Vanessa, Pascale, Marie-Lynne and Lydia - came together to create music in honour of June: a forward-thinking toast aficionado who was considered to be Mad for inciting change. Letting their toast burn, they descended into their basement and recently came out to see the light of day and launch their first CD – aptly named We’re Not Strangers – to great acclaim this past November. Their CD launch party was a night to remember, and proved that Montréal’s sweethearts of lesbian rock ‘n’ roll are the real deal!
