Published on November 23, 2009 – An electronica refuge, a shrine to house music, a temple of sound, Montréal’s answer to the infamous Studio 54 - no matter what you call it, Stereo simply is what it is: Montréal’s clubland hotspot of international acclaim where “DJ royalty play to a crowd without boundaries.”

Already ten years young this year, Stereo in the Village is where the world’s most deft spinners and loyal clubbers come to play into the wee hours (and then some!). Granted, there have been a few fiery bumps along the way, but Stereo is back and with a vengeance:  featuring a sleek, new décor, upgrades to the already phenomenal sound system, a new space for live bands and lots of green.

Green? Yes indeed, this is a house of sound with a conscience, committed to protecting the environment with eco-friendly practices such as using re-purified water and recycling methods. According to Stereo, it’s time for clubbers “to make their mark on the dance floor and not on the environment!”

Stereo’s loyal following stretches far and wide, locally and on the international house circuit, with some “Stereoheads” (a.k.a club regulars) going so far as to sport a tattoo of the venue’s iconic logo. It’s the ideal place to meet up with all walks of life, united together to rejoice and make merry in this legendary electronica playground.

If Stereo’s grand re-opening wasn’t enough, this legendary nightclub has introduced a brand-new event concept - Stereo Saturdays. Same great venue, same great sound, surprise all-star guest artist every Saturday of the month. And no one is going to let the cat out of the bag on this one: all is revealed on the dance floor!
