May 15, 2013 — No matter what you like to do, Montréal offers just what you need to do it! From running paths to top-notch indoor and outdoor facilities, the city has it all to keep you moving!

Running
When you literally want to hit the ground running, Montréal offers trails upon trails to explore, from city streets to major parks to along the Lachine Canal or through the Olympic Park, in addition to circuit itineraries. The city also hosts two major running events: the Scotia Bank 21k and 5k race in April and the Oasis Marathon and Half-Marathon in September.

Climbing, Ziplining and More
To get up and away from it all – up, in particular -, Arbraska, a leader in outdoor/forest adventure and specialist in GPS rallies and geocaching, offers aerial courses of various difficulty levels that feature monkey wires, suspended bridges, swings and thrilling zip lines amidst a forest canopy. For a unique and challenging indoor climbing experience, Allez Up and Horizon Roc Climbing Centre will drive you up the wall with their challenging routes for top rope or lead. Both facilities feature impressive bouldering potential in addition to metres of high quality, original and innovative climbing surfaces.

Skateboarding
Come summer, skaters flock to the the Big “O” Skatepark on the Esplanade SunLife Financial at the Olympic Park. One of the world’s top skateboarding destinations, it is also the site of the JACKALOPE action sports festival and skateboard competition in July that draws top international skaters and adrenaline junkies for two days of jaw-dropping moves, intense competition, music and fun!

Staying active in Montréal is, as they say, “simple comme bonjour!”
