May 5, 2010 – What is Muvbox? One of the coolest things that you will see in Old Montréal this summer, to start! Maritime shipping container –cum– fully-functional restaurant, all it takes is a simple touch of a button and voilà! A portable, eco- bistro unfolds before your very eyes. Furthermore, clean up at the end of the day is simple: it all goes back into its cube.
Muvbox is gearing up for a repeat performance this June on de la Commune Street in Old Montréal. A great success last year, this innovative concept by none other than Montréal’s own Daniel Noiseaux is simply not-to-be-missed.
But how does the environment play into this concept? The entire bistro is essentially recycled, from the shipping container that houses it to its contents to its recycled tire floor. Furthermore, two solar panels fulfill almost half of the restaurant’s energy needs.
Swing by on your bike or rollerblades to experience this completely original dining experience! Hang out on the outdoor terrace and soak up a few rays as you enjoy some Îles de la Madeleine lobster or one of a variety of seafood dishes. What? Did you assume that something like this would peddle street dogs and fries? Quite the contrary! Muvbox is portable, innovative and most importantly, delicious!
