Catch all the thrills and chills on the racetrack, and then switch to party mode as motor fever sweeps the city’s trendiest bars and swankiest eateries, with fans and fashionistas gathering to celebrate in style.
Once again, the world’s top drivers and teams descend on the Gilles Villeneuve racetrack on scenic Île-Notre-Dame to vie for the checkered flag in front of hundreds of thousands of die-hard devotees from all over the world. Flags, face painting and nerves of steel are de rigueur at this high-energy speed-fest.
When the day’s driving is done, the action shifts to nearby downtown Montréal, where legendary Crescent Street becomes party central. And what better way to celebrate car culture than closing off the entire city block to motorized traffic, giving revellers even more room to catch the free outdoor shows, pit-crew competitions, Ferrari gawking and—best of all—celebrity spotting and beautiful-people watching!
