Published on July 14, 2009 - Summer’s here and you want to hit the water, so what better way than with Aventures H20 (the 2009 Grands Prix du tourisme québécois Montréal region winner for the ecotourism and adventure tourism category)? An all-things aquatic dream come true, the company offers you the chance to practice your white water or sea kayaking strokes, rent an electric or pedal boat, or go swimming and snorkeling off their own island.

The company, in fact, operates out of three specific locations: the H20 island, halfway between Ottawa and Montréal on the Rouge River; the nautical centre near the historic Lachine Canal, close to the Atwater Market, so you can admire the city from the water; and during the off-season, at Marianopolis College’s indoor pool, where you can take rolling clinics or perfect your kayak paddling.

With a team of expert paddlers, they’ll have you hitting the water—and the waves—in no time. So if water sports really float your boat, Aventures H20 can cater to you and your sense of adventure.
