June 6, 2014 — It’s all fun and games at the Montréal’s newest festival, the Mondial des jeux Loto-Québec– literally. From July 12 to 26, Montréal will become game central, with three distinct gaming zones, a full program of free activities plus paying tournaments for experts.
The festival’s free program of activities will run nightly from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. (weekends). Highlights will include the latest video games plus traditional board games such as Scrabble, chess, air hockey, checkers, bridge, etc.
The place for hardcore gamers, the indoor segment of the festival will take place inside the Complexe Desjardins. Complete with professional hosts, this temple of gaming will showcase Québécois game makers, the most popular games for phones/tablets from Québécois developers, plus new best-sellers.
Among other major tournaments scheduled during the festival, ESWC regional champions will vie for the chance to compete during Paris Games Week at the North American qualifier on July 18 – 19 at the Théatre Telus.
So go ahead and check out the Mondial des jeux Loto-Québec. It’s your move.
