September 21, 2012 – In 2006, Montréal was designated a UNESCO City of Design. Design in an integral part of the Montréal landscape; so much so, it could be said that it is encoded in the city’s DNA: in architecture, landscape architecture and urban planning, not to mention graphic, industrial, interior, and fashion design… in all its forms, design it is part of our everyday lives. To highlight this, the Centre d’histoire de Montréal, in collaboration with the City of Montréal’s Bureau du design and Tourisme Montréal, is proud to launch the online photography competition, Montréal à l’œil.

Open to all photographers – amateurs and professionals alike of any age – the competition invites residents and visitors to snap a photo that, in their opinion, represents the pinnacle of design in Montréal. Do you love design, photography and Montréal? Then this is the perfect opportunity to combine all three with your talent.
