May 9, 2014 — Take time to stop and smell the roses and listen to bugs, hang with sloths, and stargaze at Space For Life. The Montréal Botanical Garden, Biodôme, Insectarium and Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium invite you to Take Your Time with a program ideally suited to the hot, lazy days of summer.
The arts are in full bloom on Sundays at the Botanical Garden. Poets, painters, musicians, storytellers and dancers will reveal the special charms of the glorious gardens until August 31.
From June 7 to October 26 at the Biodôme, Nature’s Slowpokes are on the fast track to stardom in an all-new sloth-inspired artistic habitat! Check out true champions of indolence, including four two-toed sloths and a number of iguanas and tortoises.
From June 21 to August 30, tune into nature – and a variety of musical genres – during Saturday afternoon Musical Siestas in the Insectarium garden. Come August, Les Escales Sonores, or “musical stopovers”, will delight visitors with original compositions inspired by pollinating insects.
With Vertigo and Coral: Rekindling Venus, the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium offers a total visual, musical and poetic experience that will have you questioning the nature of time and if it is high time to slow down.
To help slow down and enjoy this beautiful programming, Hotel Universel Montreal which is located right next door offers a very advantageous “Space For Life” package.
