2010 Northern Lights Trade Show and Conference

Montréal, January 13, 2010 – This coming January 27-30, Montréal will host the 2010 Northern Lights Trade Show and Conference, the only business and cultural showcase in Canada to feature the Eastern Arctic and North (Nunavut, Nunavik and Labrador/Nunatsiavut).

A joint venture of the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce (LNCC) and the Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce (BRCC), this prestigious event will welcome over 140 exhibitors, 600 private sector delegates, and representatives from the participating governments to the Palais du Congrès de Montréal.

The three-day program features a wide variety of conference session and workshops that will discuss pertinent topics such as resource development, tourism and culture, as well as several performances showcasing Northern artists.

The event also signifies an excellent economic opportunity for Montréal’s tourist industry, expanding our visibility and promoting our distinctive character and multiple attractions to the delegates and exhibitors so as to reinforce commercial relationships with the regions represented.

During the 2008 edition in Ottawa, the Northern Lights Trade Show and Conference set several objectives, including the strengthening of the relationships between the northern regions, economic development possibilities as well as the promotion of arts, culture and tourism of the Eastern and Northern Arctic.
