Montréal, January 19, 2010 – Tourisme Montréal hosted an immensely successful first-time-ever Breakfast in Bed promotional activity at the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Annual Meeting held in Dallas, Texas, from January 10 to 13. In fact, the Montréal CVB’s newly-designed Breakfast in Bed registration booth became a magnet for attendees, who were eager to sign up for the unique experience of having Tourisme Montréal representatives serve them a delicious Montréal-style breakfast in the comfort of their hotel room the morning of January 13. And though the PCMA venue may be new, Tourisme Montréal’s winning formula is certainly tried and true, demonstrating its popularity once again by pulling in strong registration numbers and generating promising new leads for the organization.
For Tourisme Montréal, hosting this Breakfast in Bed activity was an original way to activate its Premier Partnership with PCMA, a three-year contract signed in the fall of 2009 that provides the CVB with exclusive exposure at key PCMA events. “We were very excited to have this opportunity to hold our very first PCMA Breakfast in Bed because it lets us showcase the charms of our city—including Montréal’s warm hospitality, excellent food, flair for creativity and all the extra attentions you can expect from our colourful and cosmopolitan destination—in a truly cozy and laid-back setting,” says Charles Lapointe, President and CEO of Tourisme Montréal. “It’s an excellent way to kick off 2010 and it definitely sets an upbeat tone for a year of exciting new business prospects,” adds Lapointe.
In addition to hosting its hugely successful Breakfast in Bed at PCMA, Tourisme Montréal also treated attendees to its equally popular Spa Day at uptown Dallas’s luxurious ZaSpa from morning to mid-afternoon on Sunday, January 10. Guests had the chance to choose from a menu of soothing and rejuvenating spa treatments, which were combined with their choice of a delicious breakfast and/or lunch, depending on the time and duration of their visit.
Tourisme Montréal’s recent Breakfast in Bed activity at the PCMA 2010 Annual Convention is one of many events that aims to tap the potential of its Premier Partnership with PCMA, an agreement which gives the CVB enhanced exposure and key networking opportunities among PCMA members from around the world. Tourisme Montréal is proud of this recent success and looks forward to showing off its vibrant city to delegates attending the PCMA Education Conference, which will be held in Montréal from June 13 to 15, 2010.
