Our Sales Department is responsible for promoting Montréal as a premier meeting destination to associations and corporate groups as well as incentive travel planners. In addition to creating business opportunities for Tourisme Montréal members, the department plans and deploys the business campaign in partnership with its Team Montréal partners.
Our Convention Services Department provides support to conference organizers at all stages of their event. Their wide range of attendance-building tools includes promotional material, dedicated microsites and Passkey, a free Web-based housing reservation system.
The Executive of Communications Marketing develops communications strategies for all markets which dovetail with the organization’s objectives. In addition, it develops corporate and marketing plans, negotiates partnerships, and steers the development of the organization’s use of new technologies.
Our Communications and Advertising Department deploys promotional campaigns and develops relevant performance measurement tools. The department’s mandate also includes designing promotional and hospitality tools, in addition to managing and providing content for Tourisme Montréal’s Web site.
Our Leisure Market Department promotes Montréal among tour operators and Destination Management Companies (DMCs). It develops leisure market niches and solicits travel wholesalers, tour operators and local agencies, whether traditional or on-line businesses.
Our Membership Services Department has a mandate to recruit new members as well as provide visibility to existing members and partners through the use of various promotional tools. The department is equally responsible for organizing annual networking activities and managing the Tourist Welcome Office in Old Montréal.
Our Media Relations Department is responsible for hosting representatives from the international press. It manages Tourisme Montréal’s public relations offices in New York, Mexico and London, and ensures that Montréal receives optimal media coverage among business and leisure clienteles.
Because our market development is so closely linked to information technologies, technological advancement constitutes the cornerstone of our sales and communications strategies.
The Executive of Public Relations, Research and Product Development is responsible for maintaining relationships with various levels of government as well as the community. Its mandate includes studying market trends and performance indicators for the city, and sharing these results with members and partners. It conducts studies on both geographic and niche markets and dissiminates this information to local media. As well, it mobilizes tourism industry stakeholders around all aspects of product development, from reflection to roll-out, manages the hospitality policy (including tourist signage), and supervises the Programme de soutien aux événements.
The Executive of Finance, Administration and Human Resources manages memoranda of understanding with different levels of government and administers the accommodation tax and financial contributions from public and private partners. In addition to managing the organization’s finances and human resources, it looks after employee development programs and implements human resources policies. Its mandate also includes coordinating activities of the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.
