Marc-André Gemme takes on the position of Assistant Director, International Market

Montréal, June 28, 2011 – Tourisme Montréal is pleased to announce the nomination of Marc‑André Gemme to the position of Assistant Director, International Market. Reporting to Lynda Cadieux, our Paris-based Director of Meeting and Convention Sales, International Market, Marc-André will act as her Montréal counterpart. His responsibilities will include networking with local champions who have strong ties to international associations to encourage them to bring industry events to Montréal and explaining how the Tourisme Montréal team can assist them. He joins a growing team at Tourisme Montréal that is dedicated to the international market.

A graduate of the Université de Montréal (German Studies) and the University of British Columbia (International Relations), Marc‑André possesses a keen knowledge of international markets, excellent interpersonal skills and in-depth understanding of Montréal and its many facets, notably its cultural and business communities. Marc-André’s extensive travel experience through Europe, Asia and North America, openness to other cultures and multilingualism will undoubtedly prove to be an invaluable asset to his new position. As part of the Tourisme Montréal team for the past 12 years, Marc‑André also brings to the table an in-depth knowledge of the organization as well as strong ties with partners.

With Marc-André assisting Lynda, who will continue to divide her time between our Paris and Montréal offices, Tourisme Montréal is confident that their work together will open up exciting new initiatives on the international market.
