Montréal's Snow Village

September 20, 2013 — For the third consecutive year, the Snow Village, at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène, will provide incredible facilities made entirely of snow and ice. As the first attraction of its kind to be built in North America, it offers visitors the rare opportunity to spend the day (or night!) surrounded by a unique wintertime setting.

This wonderland (which officially opens on January 17, 2014, and will run until around March 23, 2014, depending on weather conditions) includes a hotel, igloos, conference centre, boutique, and a chapel for enchanting nuptials.

For family fun, the place offers a variety of activities. Kids will love frolicking with SNORO, the site mascot, and listening to a storyteller recount the Snow Village legend. Inflatable toys, a slide made of ice and snow, Norwegian sleds, and fireworks every Saturday night at 8 p.m. make for a complete and magical experience.

The Snow Village is also well set up for Epicurean indulgence. Head to the onsite restaurants and bars for fine cuisine incorporating local products and beverages that are sure to keep you warm.

What are you waiting for? Be a snow bunny and hop on down to the Snow Village for a splendidly decorated environment that celebrates the winter season.
