June 17, 2016 — Montréal’s endless love of jazz continues this year with the 37th anniversary of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, at the Quartier des spectacles from June 29 to July 9.

Presented by TD in collaboration with Rio Tinto Alcan, the festival is ready to rock the place des Festivals on 9 outdoor scenes. From jazz to hip-hop, to reggae, blues and rock, some 3,000 artists from around the world will offer more than 600 free concerts to music lovers. Everyone is invited to the party, even the young music fans. At Rio Tinto Musical Park, they will have the opportunity to experience and test a wide range of interactive musical installations.

The atmosphere will be just as festive indoors: quality, abundance and diversity are the keywords of this edition program! Whether in an intimate or a prestigious hall, music lovers will be spoiled for choice with 175 concerts to choose from spread over 15 series. The Jazz Festival remains an exceptional showcase for renowned artists and young talents who experience the Montreal scene (and public!) for the first time. Over the years, some of these emerging artists will become regulars, like famous jazz pianist Oliver Jones who is offering his farewell concert this year.
