June 20, 2013 — From July 9 to 21, the Festival International Nuits d'Afrique offers the most vibrant universal and cultural adventure in the Quartier des spectacles. If exotic, artistic destinations attract you, this event is sure to enchant with its range of music from Africa, the Antilles, South America, and more! From one stage to the next, fascinating creative landscapes of rhythms and songs await you.

From the energetic sponsor of the 2013 edition, Angelique Kidjo, to the legendary Orquesta Aragón, and Kassav ', Balkan Beat Box, creators of ska, The Skatalites… Nuits d'Afrique multiplies exciting journeys with renowned artists for you to discover. The event will include the first stop in North America of the Caravan for Peace. This nomadic manifestation of cultural resistance from the Festival au Désert includes three great acts from Mali.

In addition to performances, several of which are free and outdoors, Nuits d'Afrique features the Afriqu'en fête and Brésil en fête parades, the Kids’ Village, numerous dance and music workshops, unique encounters at the Agor'Afrique, and the teeming Timbuktu Market. There’s no better way to brighten your summer, even at night!
