April 10, 2013 ─ Montréal has long been recognized as a hotbed of circus talent and we’ve got the companies, facilities and a worldwide festival to prove it!

TOHU
Located in the heart of the Cité des Arts du Cirque, TOHU aspires to be North America’s leading circus venue for performance, creativity and experimentation. As such, it presents innovative and daring performances by the world’s best and brightest circus troupes, from here and abroad.   Its objective is twofold: to position Montréal as an international capital of circus arts while striving to become a benchmark for sustainable development through culture.

International Circus Capital
In addition to TOHU, the Cité des Arts du Cirque also hosts the international headquarters of the Cirque du Soleil as well as the National Circus School facilities. Many an internationally-acclaimed troupe found its beginnings here, including the stellar Cirque Éloize and les Cinq doigts de la main.

MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE
In a city of festivals, how could Montréal not host an annual summer extravaganza of circus artistry from around the world? Thousands of artists and fans converge to witness dazzling feats of folly and prowess in a varied program of indoor and outdoor performances. Troupes big and small delight children of all ages with breathtaking performances worthy of the big top!
