June 18, 2013 — Strike a pose this summer with the Montréal Fashion & Design Festival (MFDF), July 31 to August 3, 2013. Produced and managed by Groupe Sensation Mode, the festival is centred downtown around the Main Stage on McGill College Avenue. As a special treat for this edition, French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, who has made creations for the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, will be participating as honorary chairman of the event.
Returning this year is the lunchtime favourite, the High Heel Race, a charity sprint to raise money for Le Chaînon, an organization that has helped women in need since the late 1970s. While you’re there you can drop off any clothes (for women) you won’t be wearing anymore in trays specifically provided for this purpose.
Clin d'oeil magazine’s Vote and Win contest to crown the fiercest next top model is also back, and with $45,000 of prizes to be won!
As the city’s platform for unveiling the latest styles to the world, the MFDF offers fabulous fashion shows, live art installations, musical performances, DJ-accompanied happy hours, and all kinds of fly activities for you to enjoy for four consecutive days.
Fashion your seatbelt! The MFDF is around the corner.
