May 31, 2010 – Once again, Montréal becomes comedy central when the Just For Laughs Festival takes over this summer from July 2 to 25. People from near and far will be flocking to catch the latest acts by the legends and rising stars of the comedic firmament at this world-class laugh fest.

For two full weeks, many of comedy's masters treat audiences to their madcap monologues, zinging one-liners and zany tales of life as they see it. This year's lineup includes none other than John Pinette, whose unique point of view and deprecating wit keep audiences coming back for more, the hilarious tirades of angry man Lewis Black, and Montréal's own human jukebox, Gregory Charles. Legendary duo Cheech and Chong will also be bringing along their special brand of stoner humour, and former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson will be making an appearance—you won't want to miss what this iconic sex symbol's got to share with us!

Also featured is the hardcore humour of the Nasty Show (for adult ears only) and the brand-new Urban Arts, which satisfies your carnival side with music, acrobatics and spectacular streetside performances. The entire fest unfolds at downtown’s Quartier des spectacles, and will include hundreds upon hundreds of free outdoor performances that are guaranteed to leave you in stitches.

Back for an exciting second edition is Zoofest, a multidisciplinary alternative to the JFL, which will be rolling out in smaller venues around town. For approximately $20 or less a show, you can catch close to 100 fresh new faces from the comedic world at over 70 performances. The line-up for Zoofest features an exciting mix of dance, theatre, burlesque, improv, comedy and music, in English and in French, from July 12 to 25. Don’t miss it!
