July 17, 2014 Since its creation in 2006, the huge Osheaga music and art festival has built itself an enviable international reputation. From its very first edition, this three-day extravaganza has drawn massive crowds of music lovers year after year.

In 2014, first up are none other than Outkast and the hip hop duo is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their first album. It should be huge! The following stellar artists have also been added : Jack White, English rockers Arctic Monkeys, Swedish pop star Lykke Li and Montreal band Half Moon Run. This year, Osheaga is introducing its terrasse with a premium view of the two main stages and exclusive concessions for Gold Pass holders.

This unmissable event for any music lover is taken place from August 1 to 3 in Parc Jean-Drapeau, on Île Sainte-Hélène. The crowd has been getting larger and more diverse every year; the 2013 edition, headlined by Beck, drew nearly 135,000 festival-goers and tickets were sold out long before the event. All the more exposure for the nearly 100 groups from Montréal and across Canada who play here.

In the weeks leading up to the main festival, Osheaga also presents concerts and art shows, among them Music on Paper, bringing together designers, illustrators, and graphic artists selling a wide range of posters and screen prints at affordable prices.

All in all, there’s plenty to experience.
