Sex: A Tell-all Exhibition!

May 31, 2010 – If talking about the birds and the bees can seem like a daunting task, you might want to alleviate any awkward moments and make it outright fun with a trip to the Montréal Science Centre to see Sex: A Tell-all Exhibition. This educational and interactive exhibition was developed to address questions young people have about their sexuality, and was put together with the help of specialists (sexologists, doctors and scientists), teaching experts, parents, and teenagers.

Five different zones make up the exhibition: My origins, Me, Me and You, Me and Others and My Point of View, allowing participants to get answers to over 100 basic questions about sexuality in an open and positive fashion. And while it’s aimed at adolescents 12 and over, it’s certainly not youth-exclusive. In fact, parents, health care professionals, high school teachers and anyone else who wants to learn more will find the information interesting and enlightening too.

The exhibition also has its own microsite featuring the five zones, where you can listen to personal accounts and answers from experts, watch videos and answer questions of the day. There’s a goldmine of information, presented in a scientific yet approachable fashion that sets out to unravel the mysteries of sex and make talking about it completely okay.
