Offered Thuesday through Friday, starting at 5 p.m., at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) FoodLab’s Terrace − Restaurant is one of the best ways to get a taste of this early evening tradition. Dedicated to producing a unique culinary art experience, chef Seth Gabrielse (formerly of Laloux) and co-chef Michelle Marek produce experimental gastronomy that looks as good as it tastes.
Featuring local ingredients, the menu is updated every two weeks and organized around a specific theme. Whether the culinary inspiration is the Japanese izakaya, the French Christmas, or the smorgasbord (to name just a few of the recent themes), FoodLab promises a feast for the senses. In addition to a complete wine list and a range of à la carte options, there is a fixed-price menu that includes everything from appetizers and wine to dessert.
Located in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, the SAT’s FoodLab is the perfect place to grab a bite before or after a show at Place des Arts or the Monument-National. The restaurant’s warm and relaxed atmosphere is enhanced by an open-concept kitchen that gives guests an intimate look at the artists as they practice their craft. In the summer months, the rooftop terrace is one of the city’s hidden gems.
