Start your day with a nice stroll all the way to the top of Mount-Royal. Don't worry it's a very enjoyable walk and will only take you about 30 minutes starting from the entrance on Parc Avenue.
Once you made it to the top, enjoy the great view of downtown Montreal and snap some pics to show your friends.
Come back down and make your way north on Parc Avenue, which is full of Greek restaurants and cute little shops. Fifteen minutes will get you to the corner of Fairmout where you can get your hands on the very best of Montreal's bagels! Grab as many as you want :) If you see a bunch of people on the street passing you by with brown bags in their hands, it's not alcohol, it's BAGELS!
You are now in Mile End, my very own neighborhood and home to many of Montreal's hippest artists. Now starts the shopping :)
1) Laurier is a beautiful street with unique boutiques and coffee shops!
2) From Laurier, continue walking North on Parc and you will hit St-Viateur (if you turn right/East, you will find some great vintage/second hand boutiques such as Friperie Boheme, or Genereal 54). Make sure you stop at Cafe Olympico for an espresso or café au lait, sit on the popular terrasse and mingle with the locals. About 2 or 3 blocks from Parc (still going east on Laurier) is Clark street, a residential street with typical Montreal staircases. Turn left and keep walking North, the next street you will hit is Bernard street.
3) If you look to your right on the corner of Clark and Bernard, is Local 23 and Bodybag by Jude. Make sure you stop at Bodybag to find your own Montreal designer piece and Local 23 for amazing vintage. Walk west on Bernard (towards Parc Avenue) and stop at Arterie for some more Montreal fashion.
4) Keep walking on Bernard, passed Parc. You are now in beautiful Outremont! :) If you walk 5 more minutes, you will be charmed by the sidewalks that are casually transformed into buzzing terrasses. Stop at Les Enfants Terribles or Le Petit Italien for some very yummy pasta. Make sure you grab some ice cream at Bilboquet!! It is sooooooo good and only one block away from the restaurants!
After dinner, head back to Laurier (10-15 min walk from Bernard) so you can digest all that food and go to Baldwin for drinks! Great music, great people, great cocktails!
