The prestigious World Press Photo 2009 is on display in Montréal. Amateurs and connoisseurs alike will be flocking to the Just for Laughs Museum for a look at nearly 200 photos taken in 2008 by professional photographers around the globe.

The world’s most renowned traveling exhibition, a veritable feast for photo lovers far and wide, will be in Montréal from September 4 October 4, 2009 before moving on to more than 50 other countries. New this year: the launch of the Foire de l’Image de Montréal, which has its sights set on becoming a premier image event by bringing together—under the very same roof—the World Press Photo exhibition, EXPOCAPIC (Association canadienne des photographes et illustrateurs en communication), and a selection of works from the Photos Art contemporain.

This first edition will also feature the very first Marché aux puces de la photo (a photo fair), which gives you the chance to scoop up selected exhibition prints at prices that won’t hurt your wallet.
