May 22, 2014 — Cheers to beers! The ever-popular Mondial de la bière (Montreal Beer fest) is back, and this 21st edition promises even more of the strong, hoppy flavours festival-goers love. From June 11 to 15, food and beer lovers are invited to a different kind of taste experience at the Montréal Convention Centre (Palais des congrès de Montréal) and some ten of the city’s top restaurants. For the second year running, the summer’s most eagerly anticipated beer festival is teaming up with the city’s most renowned chefs, who have concocted astoundingly creative beer-based dishes, as well as beer and food pairings. The Festival’s three main components - Sorties Flaveurs, Flaveurs Bières et Caprices and Cuisine à la bière IGA – are designed to surprise and delight “beer-trotters”: beer lovers who seek out new beers on their travels, and “beer stool travellers,” whose beer-tasting takes them to faraway places.
Founded in 1994, North America’s largest international beer festival has been a sparkling success. This unique and cheerful tasting event brings together festival-goers of all stripes – from the mildly curious to the extreme aficionado – and always has some delicious new flavours in store for them.
