July 6, 2016 — This year's Rogers Cup tennis tournament in Montréal welcomes the best female players in the world, from July 22 to 31, to the Uniprix Stadium. The event presented by National Bank and organized by Tennis Canada is moving up in the calendar this year to avoid conflicting with the Olympic Games in August, and to attract the top female players.

This international group of dazzling demigoddess includes no. 1 Serena Williams competing for her fourth Rogers Cup this year, no. 2 Garbiñe Muguruza, Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniacki. Montreal will thus have the honor of seeing the biggest stars of the WTA on the courts, a group of internationally renowned athletes who will offer unforgettable performances to their fans.

As for Canadians, Eugenie Bouchard will try to advance to the second round for the first time in Montreal. Many sports and cultural activities are also part of the festivities surrounding the tournament, starting with the Family Weekend, open to all.
