Atrium Le 1000

April 24, 2014 — It’s well-known. Ice skating is in the DNA of Quebecers. And so, in Montréal, it’s normal that we can skate all year long, whether the weather is beautiful outside or not. For a fun family outing, with friends, or solo, head to the indoor rink at Atrium Le 1000 on De la Gauchetière Street.

The Setting
It’s magical. A massive skylight dome lets the sun’s rays glisten on the smooth ice surface, which is well-appointed on the ground floor of downtown’s tallest building.  Easily accessible, from the Métro in particular, the Atrium welcomes skaters of all levels throughout the year.

The Ambiance
Skating at the Atrium is a real pleasure for both children and adults. A comfortable temperature, lively music, warm hearts, themed activities...Wonderful! For a break, skaters can replenish their energy at one of the small restaurants that surround the rink.

No skates? Rentals—skates and helmets—are available on site. The Atrium also offers a host of package deals. Among others, tourists visiting Montréal receive two for one on admissions on Wednesdays, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. And on weekends, Tiny Tots Time invites children to skate in the company of the friendly mascot, Émile. Time to put on those skates!
