November 22, 2016 — Looking to get outside and enjoy some wintertime fun? Then head down to the Old Port of Montréal’s outdoor ice skating rink where you can lace up your skates and go for a spin while enjoying incredible views of historic Old Montréal and the St. Lawrence River.

The fun begins every night at 6 p.m. with a different musical theme and light show: Classical, World Music, Urban Sounds, Romantic (where couples glide along hand-in-hand as much for romance as for balance!), Retro (80s and 90s) and Rhythm. Or you can channel your inner ice dancer and waltz your way across the ice at Ballroom Matinées on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon.

The rink is an exceptional place to be all winter long, but especially during the Holiday season peaking on December 31 when spectacular fireworks light up the night sky. A unique and innovative show every time that provides a magical backdrop to shows, dancing and all-around revelry for a thoroughly original urban winter experience.

Don’t have skates? No problem – you can rent a pair right there. Don’t know how to skate? Just remember to keep your head up and your arms out. You’ll get the hang of it in no time!
