And if, like so many children—large and small—you’re transported away by the magic of this piece (immortalized by leading choreographer Fernand Nault), you can now jump feet first into this magic universe thanks to the Nutcracker Market, the first Christmas fundraising market put on by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens.
Starting in November, the commercial gallery of the Palais des congrès de Montréal (Montréal Convention Centre) will be transformed into a winter wonderland, offering visitors a wide array of items and products for the holiday season. Jewellery, decorations, toys and Québec-made foods and beverages will fill the merchants’ stalls for 11 days, in the pure spirit of Christmas.
An old European custom, Christmas markets are a marvellous place to discover a multitude of original creations, just like the performances of the Grands Ballets. In addition to offering everything under one roof, the enchanting atmosphere that surrounds this unique event will put you in the magic mood that comes with the season.
