Located on the western tip of the Island of Montréal, in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, this magnificent 245-hectare forest reserve, including a 25 km trail system, is part of the Macdonald Campus of McGill University. The property presents a mosaic of landscapes: rare remnant natural ecosystems; plantations and collections of cultivated trees, indigenous and exotic; as well as cultivated and fallow agricultural land. It is a prime location for the observation of warblers, wood peckers, raptors, owls and the spectacular Scarlet Tanager and Indigo Bunting. Guided visits, birding sessions, orienteering and astronomy events, sugaring-off activities and more are offered in season.
