Located in the Maisonneuve district near the Montréal Botanical Garden, the Château Dufresne museum is a beaux arts-style private mansion which houses the Historical Museum of East Montréal. It exhibits a permanent collection which includes the original furniture of the Dufresne brothers and the painted decoration of the house by artist Guido Nincheri and also presents temporary exhibitions. The museum is open throughout the year from Wednesday to Sunday and accepts group reservations from Monday and Tuesday.
