Overview

A Norwegian artist of international renown, both as a chamber musician and a soloist, Grammy winner for his disc of Britten’s Cello Suites, Truls Mørk performs the Dvořák Concerto, one of the three most important for the instrument. Composed as incidental music to a stage work by the poet Helmina von Chézy, which unfortunately proved to be a failure, Schubert’s Rosamunde will feature the OSM Chorus, led by Andrew Megill. Haydn’s Symphony No. 26, “Lamentatione,” meanwhile, embodies the poetic expressiveness of German Sturm und Drang (Storm and Stress).
