Overview

This fall, the Chinese and Japanese Gardens will be offering two brilliant experiences you’re sure to enjoy. At the Chinese Garden, it’s party time! Everyone is invited to explore the wealth of Chinese mythology, The Magic of Lanterns, featuring characters seemingly drawn from the pages of both adventure novels and love stories. Join the celebration and admire the fabulous colourful lanterns! At the Japanese Garden, the interplay of light and shadow will showcase the plants decked out in their fall colours and create an atmosphere of calm and refined beauty. A mysterious glow will be cast on the Garden’s many splendours, from the pavilions to the stones, lanterns, bridges, paths and fences, the Peace Bell, and the pond with its islands and waterfalls.
