The Chinese celebrate nature in thousands of ways. Many of their rituals are intimately linked with the theory of the Five Elements. Water is at the heart of this world view, as the source and binding force of the other four. Water is also associated with the DRAGON. The dragon, representing China as a whole, will be the star of this edition of the lantern festival in the Chinese Garden. It will be accompanied by its nine offspring, protecting the newly restored pavilions.
