Overview

This exhibition features a selection of multidisciplinary artist Ghada Amer’s most important works. Ghada Amer was born in Cairo in 1963 and is now based in New York. She has taken part in a number of biennials: Moscow in 2009, Venice in 2007 and 2005, Sydney in 2006, the Whitney in 2000. She has also been represented in group exhibitions including I Love You (Kunstmuseum, Aarhus, Denmark) in 2010, elles@centrepompidou in 2009, Global Feminism (Brooklyn Museum, N.Y.) in 2007, Without Boundary: Seventeen Ways of Looking (Museum of Modern Art, N.Y.) in 2006, Centre of Gravity (Istanbul Museum of Modern Art) in 2005 and Africa Remix (Centre Pompidou, Paris) in 2004. Various galleries around the world have shown her work since 2000. In 2008, the Brooklyn Museum devoted a solo exhibition to her, titled Love Has No End.
